Indulging in a crisp, fruity glass of Prosecco while relaxing in the sun kissed vineyards of Veneto should be on the bucket list of any wine lover. This self-driven tour of the northern Italian wine region allows you to discover prestigious wineries with private tastings and behind-the-scenes tours.

You'll be based at the wonderful Hotel Conta in Pieve di Soligo, where you'll enjoy a delicious two-course meal with Prosecco pairings on your first night. The hotel is in a great location for exploring the historic monuments and postcard-perfect landscapes of the wider region.

Look forward to five tastings at excellent wineries, including the Poli Grappa Museum and the Andreola - Prosecco Valdobbiadene winery. With car hire provided, you'll enjoy the freedom to explore at your own pace, in between scheduled visits. You'll also get the chance to swap four wheels for two one day as you set off by e-bike for a leisurely journey along the 'Path of Prosecco'.

    Today you´ll arrive at Venice Airport, where your Prosecco adventure will begin.

    Pick up your rental car from the airport and enjoy the freedom of driving yourself around the beautiful countryside of northern Italy, firstly to your hotel, Hotel Conta in Pieve di Soligo. You´ll check in and enjoy a refreshing welcome drink before settling into your room and enjoy the hotel's peaceful surroundings.

    The rest of the day is yours to explore the area as you wish and to enjoy the hotel's facilities. In the evening, look forward to a delectable two-course dinner paired with a sparkling glass of Prosecco, ending a wonderful first day in Italy in style.

    Your second day in Italy starts with a delicious breakfast, followed by a scenic 60-minute drive to the enchanting city of Bassano del Grappa.

    Here, you´ll pay a visit to the Poli Grappa Museum, where you'll learn all about the process of making the delicious grape brandy, Grappa, which has been distilled in Italy for centuries. It goes without saying, you´ll also get to taste some Grappa.

    Following your visit, take some time to wander the pretty streets of Bassano del Grappa before returning to your hotel to rest before the afternoon's activities.

    Your afternoon includes a leisurely wine tasting at a winery within walking distance of your hotel, where you´ll get to discover some more flavours of the region.

    The rest of the day is yours to spend at your own pace, perhaps exploring some more of the local area, going on a scenic walk, or simply relaxing at the hotel before another busy day tomorrow.

    Today, take the opportunity to explore the local area either on foot or by car. Begin your day with a visit to Ristoro Collagu, nestled in the ancient village of Collagu, offering exquisite DOCG wines paired with delectable cured meats, biscuits, and other specialities sourced from small local producers.

    After savouring these culinary delights, take a short 12-minute drive to Molinetto della Croda, a beautifully restored 17th-century water mill boasting a milling museum and occasional art exhibits. Discover the history of this important cultural landmark before returning to your hotel later in the day.

    You'll then head out for yet another wonderful wine tasting at a local winery.

    Following breakfast, it's time for a change of pace, trading your car for an e-bike and setting off on a self-guided tour.

    Your hotel's proximity to the Path of Prosecco means you're already in an ideal starting point for this wine-themed adventure. Navigate the picturesque landscapes as you pedal along the Path of Prosecco, beginning at Vidor and winding your way through lush vineyards to Col San Martino.

    Your e-bike allows you to easily enjoy the fresh air and scenic beauty of the vineyards and immerse yourself in the Prosecco region at your own pace. Just 30 minutes from your hotel lies the Andreola - Prosecco Valdobbiadene winery, where you can enjoy another excellent wine-tasting today.

    Treviso, Italy

    Today you'll visit Treviso, a beautiful city with a timeless charm, a scenic two-hour drive from your hotel.

    This is a self-guided visit, so you are free to explore at your own pace. You'll get to spend the morning and early afternoon exploring Treviso's magnificent sights, immersing yourself in its rich history and enjoying its relaxed atmosphere. Later in the day, there's another wonderful wine tasting scheduled at 47 Anno Domini in Roncade, where the flavours of the region come to life in each sip.

    After the tasting, return to the comfort of your hotel, allowing yourself some time to unwind and reflect on the day's discoveries.

    Pieve di Soligo, Italy

    On your final day, bid a fond farewell to the enchanting landscapes of the Prosecco region. You'll check out of the hotel and take a final scenic drive to the airport before flying home.
