The chef patron of Marcus at The Berkeley will take part in unforgettable exclusive events during your trip. Marcus, who received his first Michelin star at the age of 26, will give an interactive cookery demonstration on board the ship, deliver a private talk, answer your questions during a Q&A session, as well as join you in exploring the foodie highlights of the former Roman city of Lyon.
Former Food & Drink wine expert Oz Clarke will also be on board to share his lifelong love of wine, and take part in tastings of some of the region's finest varieties. Oz will choose the wine pairings for your gourmet captain's gala dinner and will take part in an excursion to the iconic Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Day3Gastronomic LyonLyon, France
While explaining Lyon's important gastronomic history, your guide will show you the city's bouchons and specialty food shops and take you into the legendary local gourmet scene-and you'll have a chance to taste some delectable offerings. Don't miss the macarons! On the way to these fabulous culinary destinations, you'll see some of Lyon's historic old quarter, with its many spectacular examples of medieval and Renaissance architecture, and les traboules, the city's old passageways. This evening you will enjoy a special dinner prepared by Uniworlds Exec Chefs.
Day4The wines of TournonTournon-sur-Rhône , France
This morning, enjoy an exclusive cooking demonstration, presented by celebrity chef Marcus Wareing. If you love fine wine, you'll love the twin villages of Tournon and Tain-l'Hermitage. For todays excursion, Oz Clarke will join you for an exclusive wine tasting in Hermitage & St Joseph wine country where you'll visit La Cave de Tain and Chez Michel Chapoutier. This afternoon, you'll enjoy a lecture on the "The Rhone valley terroirs" and a private wine tasting with Oz Clark.
Day5Wine and truffles in enchanting ViviersViviers, France
An enchanting village where time seems to have stood still for centuries, Viviers has a long and storied past that goes back more than 1,600 years-and a splendid architectural heritage to match. Your exploration of the town will take you through the upper and lowers parts of town, as you begin at the crest and make your way to the riverbank.

Day6Avignon's Palais des PapesAvignon, France
The walled city of Avignon is one of the most fascinating towns in southern France, with a host of historic gems to explore-including the fortress residence of rebellious popes who broke from Rome and once lived and ruled here. You'll see the Palace of the Popes and much more today, and also have a chance to kayak under a 2,000-year-old Roman aqueduct.
Day7Arles and Captain's Farewell DinnerArles, France
Explore a sun-drenched Provençal town today with an allure all its own. Known for its remarkable Roman ruins, Arles so inspired Van Gogh that he created some 200 paintings here. It was here that the Romans built their first bridge across the Rhône River, creating a vital overland route between Italy and Spain. Enjoy a walking tour of Arles today and a special Captain's Farewell Reception and Dinner this evening.
Day8Disembark in AvignonAvignon, France
After breakfast you'll disembark and transfer to take your chosen mode of transport back to the UK.
